Do You Read Online Marketing Magazines On a Daily Basis?

Well, if you are one of those who need to increase his knowledge base and be informed of emerging marketing trends, then you need to read some high quality magazines in your industry.

Reading press releases and blogs may help you in this approach, but you should not overlook the power of some online published marketing magazines, as well.

When it comes to affiliate marketing magazines, it´s better to take advantage of those publications that have been created by super affiliates in the market. You need to listen to experts and use their knowledge and experience, not to ordinary people.

Using a high quality magazine is always great, but it may cost you some bucks. Sometimes, the quality of some FREE publications are too low that you don´t even bother to read them. So, not every FREE magazine is worth reading.

But, there are some exceptions. I know an amazing FREE magazine that has been available online for a while now. You don´t need to pay a single dime to view and read that publication. You don´t even need to subscribe and give your personal information in order to get access. You can always print or download the magazine at no cost.

This is a question many Internet marketers are asking all the time.  You may have heard that online classified advertising does not work any more and it would be a kind of wasting time. Besides, it would cause other issues such as spamming.

Well, it was quite a long time ago that online classified ads were offering their services for FREE. While it was a great opportunity for every marketer to promote his products or services, it had its own disadvantages, as well. Most of the members of those websites were advertisers, too and were not really interested in the ads. So, they simply ignored other advertisements. Other group of members were spammers and were browsing the classified ads just for collecting e-mail addresses.

That´s why many Internet marketers ignore this kind of online advertising. Of course, there are powerful resources like CraigsList.com that offer classified advertising for FREE. But, most of the Internet marketers just overlook it because it is time-consuming and requires a lot of hard work.

But, you don´t need to be among those who underestimate the power of classified advertising. Thanks to the changes over the past few years, this method is still offering a good deal for your advertising efforts.

Just do it properly and you will soon realize how much money you could have left on the table. The following tips may help you run a more effective classified advertising campaign.

With that being said, you should cut unnecessary words as much as possible. Use familiar words and abbreviations, but, don´t try to put some unusual abbreviations in your ad that most people may not know about. And also make sure you check your ad spelling. Misspellings have negative affects on your messages.

7. Don´t Use Automated Tools For Submitting Your Ads!

If you want to place your ads on as many FREE classified ads as possible, don´t try to use some automated tools for faster results. Trust me, it may make it easier for you, but high-quality classified ad sites may reject your submissions and many of them will finally ban you from their services. So, it is not worth trying. If you don´t have enough time, get someone else to do the job for you. 

When people visit classified ads, they have more commercial intentions, meaning that they are ready to buy something. That´s why how powerful online classified advertising is and you should take it into account, too. Many marketers don´t know about this fact and many ignore it. Paid Surveys are one of the most controversial opportunities that almost every one has heard about them. Catchy headlines such as “Get Paid $50/Hour to Take Surveys” or ”Make Money Just By Participating In Online Focus Groups” are too familiar with every money seeker on the Internet. But, the very first questions are: Does it really work? Will I be able to earn that amount of money?, etc….

Well, I personally asked those questions, as well and tried to search the answer on the Internet. It was quite a while ago and I found both positive and negative feedback about the paid surveys programs and thought that it would worth trying. So, I decided to give it a try and joined one of the leaders of paid surveys membership programs which was and still is among the most popular ones.  

OK, I registered immediately hoping to be able to earn money in a matter of hours just by taking those “Paid Surveys”. In the member area, I got access to some useful information and instruction before taking surveys. So, I read them all, as well and got ready to get started. Guess what?! There was nothing but a large list of websites and companies. What? Come on, where are the paid surveys, then?

That program was just a middleman website providing a large database of companies and marketing research firms. It charged me only because of preparing that list, a list of actual services that you have to visit one by one and register, create your profile and wait for the surveys to come in to your e-mail inbox.

Yet, I tried to keep myself optimist and started joining every single available program that was listed there. After a couple of hours, I had signed up for almost 50 research companies and created my profile. Then, I decided to give myself a break and wanted to see what would happen.

Here is the fact behind paid surveys, in my personal point of view:

1. Like I said, these membership programs charge you just for the prepared list, not for the surveys. So, if you expect to get a lot of paid surveys right after the sign up, you are wrong.

2. The list is too big. There are literally hundreds of market research websites that you should visit and register one by one. It is time consuming and requires a lot of organizing. Besides, your e-mail inbox will get bombarded by a lot of companies and their offers.

3. Most of the survey sites are available only to the U.S. residents. So, if you live outside the United States, then you will be missing out a lot of survey programs.

4. Even if you live in the U.S. your profile and demographics should match their surveys. Otherwise you won´t get any paid surveys.

5. Here is the most ridiculous part. Most of those market research companies reward you with only prizes. Come on! Do you really think it would worth spending half an hour filling out one single survey for only a special prize? I don´t think so! Then, where is the real cash that has been promised before?

6. And this one is more annoying: many of market research companies just offer you a spot in the reward list to win a prize or cash. Can you believe that?

You spend your hard-earned money for a membership program that provides only a large database of companies, you register for each and every website, create your profile, subscribe to the e-mail list, get tons of e-mail messages to your inbox, get a survey, spend your valuable time filling out that survey and then just get a spot in a large list hoping to win a prize or cash. This is the fact behind these paid surveys programs.

What I´m trying to say is that paid surveys can be an option for making some extra money. I am not against that. I have personally been able to earn some cash, as well. But, if you think you would make $100/hour just by taking paid surveys, then you should think about it again.

So, now the choice is yours. Unfortunately, when I decided to order a paid survey membership program, there was not enough information out there. And you know what? I searched for the facts, cons and pros, but the results that came up were positive from some affiliates that wanted to make money. Apparently, they don´t care about people.

But, I DO care about my audience. I could have just put my affiliate link to one of those paid surveys programs in order to earn some extra commissions. But I don´t think it would be fair.

If you are a kind of person that has just too much money and wants to spend it trying paid surveys, fine, be my guest! But, I would not personally recommend paid surveys programs. In this case, if you are really interested in getting paid surveys, you can find a huge list of market research companies for FREE. Why would you want to pay for getting that list? But, again, it is up to you.

If getting paid to take surveys was that simple, don’t you think the whole entire population would be sitting at home filling out surveys? Well, the fact of the matter is that you won´t make good money as promised on the sales pages of the paid surveys membership programs. But, there is still some hope.

Well, I did not succeed in earning too much money with paid surveys, but now I make some money online from other ways, methods that are legal and ethical.

Asking a question is one of the most amazing phrases particularly in your headlines or subject lines. You might mention the problem after this phrase. That way, you entice the reader to keep reading your copy in order to get the answer to that question. 

3. Special Offer

People love special offers and really want to know what you have on the table. If you use it at the very first positions on your sales page or even in the subject line, you will show the reader one of the benefits of your item.

4. 100%

Did you know that even numbers can make amazing effects in front of the eyes of your audience? 100% is a phrase that tells your reader something is complete in a way. It can be 100% FREE, 100% Original, 100% Guaranteed, etc.

5. Learn To

In fact, everyone likes instructions and education. So, if you use “Learn To” combined with the topic, it will definitely attract the attention of your readers. Here are some examples: “Learn To Play Piano”, “Learn To Invest Money”, “Learn To Speak French”.

6. Looking For?

It is another question-type phrase that really attracts the prospect´s eye. You continue this phrase with the topic that you know your audience are looking for. “Looking For a Job?”, “Looking For a Good Web Hosting Company?”, to name a few.

7. Tired Of?

Again, another question-type phrase that talks emotionally to the people about a serious problem or issue. Basically, it tells about a disappointed fact, and then right after that offers a solution. Here are some examples: “Tired Of Money Making Scams?” or “Tired Of Working For Others?”.

8. Who Else Wants?

As you see, question-type words and phrases have amazing effects in a headline or ad copy. Phrases such as “Who Else Wants To Earn $1000/Day?” or “Who Else Wants To Lose Weight In 2 Weeks?” are so powerful that a reader gets interested in the offer and even takes it.

9. Instant Results

As a nature of human being, people always wants instant results. They would like to achieve their goals as quick as possible. This phrase talks to that characteristic and has generated fantastic results.

10.  Act Now!

Believe it or not, nothing has more effect than call to action words. This phrase is one of them and entices the reader or visitor to take action right away. It does not matter if you use it in the headline or even at the bottom of the page close to the Order button, just use it!

Well, knowing the above-mentioned phrases is recommended for every one who wants to write attractive copies. But, always remember this point: Don´t ever lie or mislead! Nothing is more harmful than dishonesty. It hurts you, your audience and your business. Be honest and you will get credit.
